 Gelaskins for Kindle Jul 23, 2010
While the graphics on the Gelaskin are great... it's name does not aptly describe it.
I was expecting/hoping for a product that would give my Kindle some tactile "grippyness". There is simply no rubbery or "gel" type feel to this product. It is a lovely graphic that adheres to your Kindle.... nothing more, nothing less.

It is very colorful and bright.It was not what I was expecting. When it said Gelaskin I thought it was more like the soft rubber that they have for the phones so that if it is dropped it adds more protection.

When I purchased this item, I was not aware that it was simply a sticker that adheres to the front and back of the Kindle. I was under the impression that it was literally a gel like cover, much like the ones you can buy for an ipod or the Wii controllers. But that's my fault for not looking into it more. I'm very happy with the design of this cover; it really gives my Kindle personality. However, I'm not exactly sure just how much it will protect my Kindle. Yes, it will keep the covered areas from scratches, but the keys and screen are left unprotected. It was also extremely difficult to apply to the front of the Kindle and doesn't seem to fit on evenly. Overall, this product seems to be just for looks and not for protection.

Works great, a bit fiddly to put on the Kindle, but once on, looks terrific. It is sticky backed and easily removed so on the 3rd try I finally had in on the way I like it.
A Big Struggle Jun 21, 2010
The cover design is awesome; however, a big struggle to apply to the Kindle. The back portion was a little easier but the front panel was very difficult to apply. It doesn't look as perfect as I want it to look but I got sick of the hassle. Still in all, it looks really nice & it keeps it protected.
